VOLUNTEER on World AIDS Day at the OUR HEROES 2019 INSTALLATION

In celebration of World AIDS Day, OUR HEROES EXHIBIT will install 50 photographs and bios of people, places and events of Heroes in the fight to END AIDS, on December 2 ,2019 in Washington, DC at The Metropolitan Community Church.

The Our Heroes Historical Committee, The Mayor’s Office on LGBTQ Affiars and Serve DC ~The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism and Partnerships invites you to volunteer at one of the following shifts:

  • 10am-2pm ~exhibit set-up

  • 4pm-8pm ~ program registration

The complete collection of THE OUR HEROES exhibit includes 350 black and white framed photographs of individuals, places, events and organizations that have made an impact in the fight to END AIDS in Washington, DC over the last 32 years (1981-2019).

The Martin Luther King Memorial Library Historical Collection in Washington, DC  house and has ownership of the collection for its historical value of the history of HIV/AIDS of Washington, DC.
