Digital Storytelling Workshop For The Adoption Community

Digital Storytelling Workshop For The Adoption Community

Here is your chance to express yourself and create!

Join others touched by adoption for an all day digital story workshop and share your own adoption story through the creation of a 2-5 minute digital story.

Led by StoryCenter Founder and Director Joe Lambert, Filmmaker and Media Educator Tatiana Beller with support from educator Connie Gelb.

Adoptive Parents: Have you completed your child’s adoption storybook? Do you want to give a special gift to your daughter and/or son?

Adoptees: Do you want to express and explore your story in a therapeutic and supportive environment?

Birth Parents: Do you want to have a therapeutic space to express memories or feelings about your adoption story?

In this workshop you will be guided through a complete media production process:

  • conceptualizing a story

  • gathering images

  • finalizing your short digital story

This is a two-day session beginning on Friday, June 21 from 3 – 8:30 pm and Saturday, June 22, from 9-5.

Dinner will be provided on Friday, and a light breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided on Saturday.
