Midweek Relax and Recharge: Gong Sound Meditation

Incorporate gong sound meditations into your self-care program. The gong has been used for thousands of years for ceremonies and healing. Gong sound meditation can offer physical, emotional and spiritual healing through deep relaxation, cleansing the subconscious mind and stimulating the glandular system. Research has demonstrated the benefits of gong sound meditation to combat stress, chronic pain, anxiety and the effects of substance abuse. 

It is a type of sound therapy fondly named “the smart person’s meditation” as it can bring the mind to a neutral state but only requires you to be open and to allow the sound of the gong to wash over you.

No experience is necessary. Bring your curiosity and wear comfortable clothes and bring your mat and/or a blanket.

The gong may not be suitable for women who are or may be expecting. Please consult your physician.

Is parking available?

Public parking is available across the street for $2/day. Street parking also available. 

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Class is recommended for teens and older. Younger children may not be interested in staying still for this long and therefore would disrupt the class.
